Trauma therapy is a type of therapy that helps an individual cope with the side effects of having experienced or having witnessed a traumatic event. Sometimes this traumatic event can appear to be a small event, but it can leave long lasting effects on you. Other times it could be a repeated event that leaves an enormous impact on you. Therefore, it is often not enough to solely talk about it in therapy, and being able to use treatment approaches like OEI are more beneficial.
OEI (observed experiential integration) is an experiential modality that helps treat trauma at a deeper level. This trauma specialization involves activating parts of the brain to better process the traumatic event, eventually leading to more integration of experiencing the traumatic event, and ultimately helping you feel better. OEI has been proven to be effective in addressing PTSD and PTSD symptoms.
